一 Be 動詞

1 Be 動詞現在式包含 is、am、are。

2 一般表示「是」。如：我是學生。你是我的朋友。他是我同學。

及作連綴的功用。如：她（是）漂亮的。我（是）很快樂（的）。

例 • She is beautiful. 她很漂亮。（她是漂亮的。）
• He is my classmate. 他是我的同學。

• I am very happy. 我很快樂。（我是快樂的。）
• Curry and I are teammates. 柯瑞和我是隊友。

• Taiwan is my home. 台灣是我的家。
• I am a student. 我是學生。

• You are my friend. 你是我的朋友。

3 當做「有」。

例 • In the box is a watch. 盒子裡有一支手錶。
= There is a watch in the box.

• In the basket are two pineapples. 籃子裡有兩個鳳梨。
= There are two pineapples in the basket.

規則表

be 動詞 主 詞

第三人稱單數如 he（他）、she（她）、it（它），人名如
John、Helen、Mary，及物質名詞 water（水）、air（空氣）、
is money（錢）、this（這）、that（那）、everyone（每個人）、
everybody（每個人）、no one（沒人）、nobody（沒人）、
someone（某人）、somebody（某人）……及單數名詞。

am 永遠和 I（我）連用。

you（你）（你們），及其他複數主詞及名詞，如 we（我們）、
they（他們）、these（這些）、those（那些）、you and I
are （你和我）、George and Mary（喬治和瑪麗）、Steve and Dave

（史蒂夫和戴夫）……等。
