2 無生物所有格的形成 The + …… + of + the + 某物
of 大多翻譯為中文「的」，所以這句型是：…某物的…。
EX2-1 e legs of the table are broken.
（這張桌子的腳斷了。）

3 所有格代名詞 = 所有格 + 名詞
EX3-1 my pen 我的筆 = mine 我的（物品）；your book 你的書 = yours 你的（物品）
Mary's pen = Mary's（Mary 的筆）
Mary's hat is more beautiful than mine .
（Mary 的帽子比我的漂亮。）
EX3-2 is pen is mine . Where is his ?
（mine = my pen；his = his pen）
（這支筆是我的，他的在哪裡？）
4 雙重所有格
｛ any/some/no ｝ + 名詞 + of + ｛ mine/his/hers/yours...
a/an/this/that
ours...
my brother's/Mary's...
EX4-1 I met a friend of mine . = I met one of my friends.
（我遇見了我的一位朋友。）
！ 注意
a � an � this � that � any � some � no 等字不可與所有格放在同一名詞之前修飾該名詞。
EX John 是我的一位朋友。
（○） John is a friend of mine. = John is one of my friends.
（×） John is a my friend.
（×） John is my a friend. 所有格不可共同修飾「a friend」。
