4 與過去事實相反

If 子句 主要子句
If S + had + p.p. S + should/would/could/might + have + Vp.p.

EX If May had studied hard, she would have passed the exams.
had + p.p. 過去式助動詞 + have + Vp.p.
（假如 May 之前有用功，她就會通過考試了。）

事實：因為之前 May 沒有用功，所以她沒有通過考試。
Because May didn't study hard, she didn't pass the exams.

wish（但願）： 通常用於事情不太會發生的且用於
（但願我很有錢。）
假設語氣居多。

hope（希望）： 通常是會發生，用於條件句居多。

EX 1. I hope (that) you can come to my party.
