一 連接詞的種類

連接詞的種類有三種，對等連接詞、從屬連接詞、對等相關連接詞。

二 對等連接詞「and」、「but」、「or」、「so」

連接詞前後的「詞」、「片語」、「子句」必須是對等。

表 12-1 英文對等連接詞

and A-mei and Jolin are wonderful singers.
和 A-mei 跟 Jolin 是很棒的歌手。
and Work hard and you will succeed.
那麼 努力點，那麼你將會成功。

but She is a movie star, but I am not. 級 中 篇
但是 她是電影明星但我不是。

or Matt or Peter can play the piano.
或者 Matt 或者 Peter 會彈琴。
or Hurry up or you will miss the bus.

1 連接「詞」
EX Josh and I are friends. 連接兩個名詞。

（Josh 和我是朋友。）

2 連接「片語」

EX Do you want to go to the movies with me or watch TV at home?
連接兩個片語

（你要跟我去看電影還是在家看電視？）

3 連接「子句」

EX Ryder is tired so he is sleepy now. 連接兩個句子（S + V so S + V）

（Ryder 很累所以他現在很睏。）
