3 分詞構句的否定：把助動詞拿掉，動詞＋ ing。


例 Because I did not know what to do, I called my sister.

因為我不曉得要做什麼，我打電話給我姊。

二 保留連接詞的分詞構句

為了強調或使意思更清楚，可以保留連接詞，省略主詞。

主詞相同可省略
例 When she opened the door, she hurt her hand.

When opening the door, she hurt her hand.

開門的時候她傷到手了。

主詞相同可省略
例 Because he was out of job, he has no money.

Because being out of job, he has no money.

因為失業，他沒錢。

主詞相同可省略
例 If you don't work hard, you will be fired.

If not working hard, you will be fired.
