2 與過去事實相反，條件用過去完成式，結果用過去式助動詞 + 完成式。

例 • 如果你昨天有來的話，他就不會死了。（事實上並沒有來）

練 習 4 與過去事實相反的假設

1. If I enough money last year, I a new car.

要是我去年有足夠的錢，我就買新車了。
2. If you hard before, you the exam.

要是你以前有用功讀書的話，你早就通過考試了。

表示機率很小的假設，條件用 should，結果用未來式。

句型 If + 主詞 + should + 原形動詞 , 主詞 + will + 原形動詞

例 • 萬一明天下雨，我們就不能回家了。
If it should rain tomorrow, we will not be able to go home.
• 萬一你考試通過，我請你吃晚餐。

If you should pass the exam, I will treat you to dinner.
• 萬一核電廠爆炸了，代價無法計算。
If the nuclear power plant should explode, the cost will be uncountable.
